Campsite Cabin

As an alternative to a tent you could book our Camping Cabin. It is a great way to get a taste of living off-grid. Bookable on the night or in advance for £18 for one person or £26 for two occupants.

The cabin is built from interlocking 40mm thick logs with a 1.20m canopy and shingle tile roof. The internal space is 3m x  3m and provides a bedroom/living space with bunk beds, table and chairs, a storage box under the bed for clothes and a cabinet.  There is parking next to the cabin and a couple of benches on the balcony.

Just like when camping with a tent, you provide your own bedding, but the cabin beds have pillows and bottom sheets. Hand towels and toilet paper are provided in the compost toilets. As an alternative: you can hire a duvet at a cost of £4 per person per visit. There is no heating or electricity on site, but the cabin is warm and cosy in the summer months and there are windows to open should you need ventilation.

If you are staying in the autumn and winter months, the cabin catches the afternoon and evening sun, so it warms up for going to bed, but it is chillier in the mornings. Cardigans, woolly socks and slippers help make your stay comfortable and if necessary double duvets and hotwater bottles!

There is an Alpkit solar lamp in the cabin which is recharged by the host. The cabin provides an assortment of herbal teas and some token chocolate brioches to snack on.

Although the host can provide boiling water for tea in the morning when on site, it is suggested to bring your own equipment for maximum flexibility.
